Couple's Retreat

Well the retrteat was totally awesome and amazing. Nine couples came and enjoyed the beautiful surrounding in Smith's Cove, at the romantic Harbourview Inn. Darren and Vance treated us wondefully and the Inn was so very nice. The food was amazing as well - especially the breakfasts. I went swiming in the pool, which was the first time in over 5 years I have been in the water.

I want to thank God for sending the couples/people that He did; for the weekend would not have been as enjoyable and special if they hadn't come. The workshops were enlightening and the games were very fun. I especially enjoyed watching Ted and Linda roll a ball back and forth for over 45 minutes (quality time).

But the highlight of the weekend came Sunday morning at 9am, as Brenda and Henry Ford rededicted themselves to one another in a Marriage Vows Renewal Ceremony. Genos gave the bride away. Linda stood as Brenda's maid of honor and Sankey was Henry's best-man. The Ceremony was not a planned event for the weekend; and was brought on by the Holy Spirit. The bride was beautiful, carrying pink roses, and the groom was very handsome, with a pink rose on his lapel.

All the rest of the couples were emotional, as well as a few other Inn patrons. Brenda and Henry had a wonderful second marriage ceremony. God bless them.

The weekend had so many highs and amazing things that happen. Just ask anyone who was there. I want to thanks Peggy for her help organizing the weekend and helping out, while I did other things. Thanks so much Peggy. Also, thanks to Tanya who aided us at getting ready.

Well, just wait until next year!
Blessings and love to you all.

Excited

Hi everyone,
Seems it is getting harder and harder to keep my blog updated as well as interact on facebook.

Tomorrow night we are off to the Couple's Retreat - it's going to be an awesome, fun and God filled weekend. All the couples will have a great time! Please pray for us all to grow closer to God as we grow closer to our spouses and also grow closer to our spouses as we grow closer to one another.

God is really good - sometimes we forget that. I have had a request on "From the Pulpit" to preach on "God's grace and peace when we feel at times like giving up."
I can do that! and I know that a lot of other people have been there as well. I will be preaching this message on August 5, 2007.

Remember that no matter what we are going through, God is never far away and He continues to love us.

Blessing, PBB

Actions

Good rainy morning.
Ya'know, sometimes no matter what we do; it's wrong. If we do it this way, its wrong or of we do it that way, its wrong. Life is like that and I blame Satan for that. He seems to pressure us into action and clouds our vision to what to do and when we do something, it is wrong.

God is our light, our guiding light in this world. But it is hard sometimes to determine if Satan is pushing us to do something or simply, we can see God's way at that certain point.

People, step carefully today.

Blessings upon you all, PBB

PS: Please pray for my sister Amy Rose - she has her surgery today to remove a turmor in her inner ear...

God's Grace

This past weekend, I wnt on my motorcycle course: Friday night 6:00 to 9:30 pm, Saturday 8:30 to 5:30, and Sunday 8:30 to 5:30. We were on the bikes most all that time. Then add 40-50 minutes times 2, per day for me. Result = sore behind.

The course was great, there were 7 of us from all age groups and walks of life. We all passed and one lady even crashed her bike into the raised sidewalk. She broke the bike, bruisd and skun her leg, brett bad.

I think we are granted the grace of God, soooooooooo many times during the day that and seldom even notice. The bike course as fun, but it was very hard as well and I kno that God was watching over al of us.

At the beginning of the course, on Friday night, we all had to introduce ourselves, tell a little about us, and what bike we drive or would like to on. So I introduced myself, told them I owned a Hyosung and as the pastor of NTUBC. During the whole the weekend nothing was said about me being a pastor or any questions. There as some swearing and dirty talk, but nothing too, too bad.

After we all had our final test and were given the results, we were taken outsid for s group photo. as the picture as done, I told a chance and asked if the group if I could pray for them. No one said 'no.' So, I prayed for them as a group, thankd God for the great instructors and for keeping us safe. I then prayed for each individuallt, calling them by name, and asked that God would ridw with them and keep them from harm - always.

Then an amazing thing happen. This group who seemed to be uninterested in my work and continued to swear and talk dirty all weekend, at the end of the prayer - everyone said 'Amen!'

I thought that was so very cool and amazing. Even though e may seem to go through life, uninterested in God or church, God still grants to us His grace - no matter what!. And when it comes right down to it, we know He's there and we acknoledge Him as Lord, by saying 'Amen!'

God loves you all!Blessings PBB

Question is:
In what movie did robin williams say these drag words?
Hellooooooooo

Hellooooooo (Robin Williams in what movie?)

Hi Everyone,
Yes, I know, update, update, update! Well, I've been busy. I think I have an idea of what God goes through on a daily bases. He wants to connect with everyone - see what their doing and how they are - and offer some comfort along the way; and so do I, except I get tired. I wonder if God has Facebook. Everyday, when I go on, I get updates of who's doing what, how they are feeling, messages sent back and forth On The Wall. It's a lot to keep up with. So, sometimes I can't, but I do try and catch up as soon as I can.

The servbices late;y have been really good. This past Sunday, Dianne M. did s wonderful and moving job reading the very same poem that her Mom (Eleanor) read a few years ago. It really added so much to the message and service. I heard many people at the door comment to her about it. Loren did a wonderful singing - but I think she can now sing without the back up voices.

I am away this Sunday so Jonathan will be bringing the message. I am so thankful for Jonathan and In Septemeber Jonathan will be honored by our Church - sdtayed tuned for further updates on that.

Nice to see my daughter for a few day, before she took off again.

Peg and I went to the movies with Christy and Corey on Sunday night - and had a blast. They are really fun to be around - and yes, Corey, I know "your not a machine!" Corey, I hope you enjoyed the pop the other night and Christy, I hope you enjoyed eating at that fancy take-out joint.

Well guys and gals, remember I will try to update more and by the way; God loved you all so very much.

Blessings, PBB
